Congratulations to Ellie Ingram and Katie Hetherington on their selection for the Ulster and Ellie’s selection as Captain. It is also good to see past ERGS pupil Ellie Rix selected. The Ulster U18 Girls 7s squad was selected from a larger training squad and will play a series of development blitzes against the three other provinces over the course of the next three weekends.
This weekend they travelled to Portarlington RFC and Neal Johnston, who is coaching them this year, played all the subs in each match to give everyone some experience and game time. Unfortunately the team lost their games, however they improved greatly with each game and were a more settled team against Leinster at the end, playing some lovely rugby. It was a great way to finish the day and the squad and coaches are looking forward to next Sunday in Westmanstown.
