Another tough weekend defeat for the U14s missing 4 regular pack members and facing a strong and talented Dungannon side. Despite significant improvements in rucking and support play after Rainey the persistent running and strength of the RSD No. 8 and Center’s proved too strong on a number of occasions. ERGS did however not submit until the end with both Shay Owen and Quillan Irvine both coming within a meter of the try line but to no avail. With Irvine carried off the field at half time with a broken collar bone, the ERGS boys showed discipline and dug deep for the second half to defend and keep the score line as stationary as possible.
As we welcome back injured players for Foyle this coming weekend we are hopeful of an improved result and wish Quillan a speedy recovery.
