ERBC Pre Race Boat Naming

At ERBC we were delighted to officially name two new boats on Saturday morning. We had a dedication and blessing of the boats by Canon Desmond Kingston and Monsignor Peter O’Reilly.

The first boat was purchased by Rodney Timoney and has been named Charlie after Nathan, Josh and Callum Timoney’s grandfather. The three boys are rowers at the Club and their grandfather would be very proud.

The 2nd boat was purchased by Blakes of the Hollow and Pat Blake came along for the ceremony. Members of the extended Blake family were in attendance. Tom and Kerry Blake both row at ERBC and Blakes of the Hollow have been supporters of Erne Head since it started in 1957.
