Nearly 100 girls from Enniskillen Royal took to the Eisenhower playing fields today to participate in the first Ulster Rugby Regional Blitz of the season.
For many this was their first taste of rugby, some girls playing tag as they learn the rules of the sport, some playing their first contact matches and many experienced players getting back on the pitch aiming for further success this year.
With 9 teams entered across the U14, U16 and U18 categories it shows the depth of talent we have in school and the enthusiasm and commitment was on display for all to see.
It was great to host the event with local schools Devenish College, Mount Lourdes Grammar and Fivemiletown College all taking part. Once again showcasing the talent of rugby playing girls in the local area!!
