Welcome to the ‘GSUS live’ road show, back in Enniskillen again after its first visit in 2011 and with us at Enniskillen Royal Grammar School for the next two weeks.
The ‘GSUS live’ trailer is an outstanding teaching tool that provides a high quality learning experience for our pupils. Over the next two weeks we have scheduled for all of our year 8, 9, 10 and year 11 GCSE pupils to experience all the roadshow has to offer. This fully interactive teaching resource is ideal to engage their interest and stimulate their moral compasses.
When taking part in the GSUS live experience the pupils must choose from three scenarios based on fellow teenagers dealing with problems that any teenager might face. One story is about bullying, another about a life-threatening illness and the last about hurt caused by a family member. Every pupil is required to select the story that most appeals to them; by following the story they are challenged to empathise with the characters involved and along the way are given the chance to respond and select an appropriate courses of action from interactive pictures such as the Internet, Bible, iPod or TV.
A valuable learning experience for all involved and we thank Sam Balmer, Jeff Gawn and friends for their valuable time and enthusiasm in its delivery.
