On the 7th September Head boy Andrew Crawford and Head Girl Ellie Ingram joined students from across Fermanagh to film the school’s Peace Pledge. We decided to amalgamate the pledges we wrote as separate schools into one, reflecting our aspirations to work together to create a vibrant new school community for everyone.
The recording will be broadcast as part of ‘Amazing the Space’ an event to mark International Peace Day on 21st September. Amazing the Space is a youth lead peace building initiative involving over 5000 young people. It aims to promote respect, develop new relationships and celebrate diversity, encouraging young people to be active in creating peaceful communities. Students from across Northern Ireland, including representatives from Enniskillen Royal Grammar School,
will participate in the main event at Eikon Exhibition Centre and also at satellite venues across the country.
