The bank holiday weekend saw the end of season ERGS Rugby Club Dinner held at the Killyhevlin hotel on Saturday 29th April. An excellent evening of celebration was had by all, as each team’s successes and stories were shared with the crowd of players, parents, coaches and teachers.
Special guest, Ulster and Ireland Centre, Darren Cave was on hand to award trophies for each squad’s most improved and player of the year and after what has been a highly successful inaugural season, which saw 6 provincial selections of players from across the club, there were also a few pieces of silverware to be celebrated for the Medallions as Ulster Bowl winners and the U14s as winners of the Michael O’Kane Tournament last month.
A huge thank you must go to the Enniskillen Royal Grammar School Rugby Parents’ Support Group for organising and hosting the event and a particular mention to outgoing Chairman Simon
Kennedy for his years of commitment to the group, most recently as Chairman, and his tireless enthusiasm and efforts to raise the tens of thousands of pounds that have helped make rugby viable at the school in the way that it is.
