Dylon Funston
Class of 2017
Subjects Studied at A’ Level - Business Studies, Geography and Physical Education
After completing my A’ Levels as part of the inaugural leaving class of Enniskillen Royal Grammar School in 2017, I developed a clear ambition to pursue a career in business.
I progressed to Ulster University to study Business with Accountancy. During my degree, I secured a 12-month internship with Enterprise Mobility, which provided invaluable experience and helped shape my understanding of business operations.
Following my graduation in 2021, I joined Enterprise Mobility through their Management Trainee Programme. Since then, I have progressed from Assistant Manager in Belfast to Branch Manager, receiving three promotions along the way. Most recently, I relocated to Edinburgh to manage the Waverley Train Station branch.
Alongside my career, I have continued my involvement in sport, representing teams including Ballinamallard United FC, Lisbellaw United FC, and the Ulster University team. I have also been actively involved in diversity and inclusion initiatives within Enterprise Mobility, leading the Race and Religion group and organising events that promote awareness and inclusivity.
I am grateful to all of the teachers and mentors who supported me throughout my education. In particular, I would like to thank Miss Donnelly for inspiring my interest in business and Mr Beddard for his encouragement and guidance throughout my school career.

Carly Graham
Class of 2024
A’ Level Subjects Studied: Technology & Design, Mathematics and Business Studies (Physics at AS Level)
After leaving ERGS in 2024, I began studying for a BSc in Technology with Design at Ulster University Belfast. The course combines engineering, product design and manufacturing, allowing me to develop both my technical and creative skills. During my first year, I was delighted to be placed on the Dean's List in recognition of my academic performance.
Alongside university, I have continued working for Dunlop Kitchens, where I first completed my work experience placement in 2023 after recommendation by Mrs Kettyle. Following my work experience, I was offered a part time position and have worked there ever since. My role has given me experience in kitchen design, CAD, customer relations, marketing and business development. One of the highlights has been travelling to Germany on three occasions for industry events and training, including travelling independently to attend specialist training with BORA.
As part of my degree, I will begin a year long placement this summer as a Technical Design Engineer with Denroy Plastics in Bangor. I am looking forward to gaining hands on experience within the manufacturing industry before returning to university for my final year.
Outside of university and work, Highland Dancing has been a huge part of my life since I was four years old. After gaining my teaching qualifications in 2023, I recently established my own dance school, Carly Graham School of Highland Dance, where I teach young dancers within my local community. I have also had the privilege of performing at a number of major events, including dancing for King Charles III and Queen Camilla during their visit to Enniskillen and performing as part of the Belfast International Tattoo.
Looking back, Technology & Design played a significant role in shaping my career path. Across my three years of coursework, I achieved marks of 100%, 100% and 98%, and I am particularly grateful to the Technology & Design department, especially Mr McDevitt, whose support, encouragement and enthusiasm helped me develop both academically and personally throughout my time at ERGS.
I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities and encouragement I received during my time at ERGS. The school gave me the confidence to pursue opportunities both locally and internationally, and I look forward to seeing where my studies, placement year and future career in design engineering will take me.
