The Moving Image Arts trip on the 28th February provided AS and A2 pupils with a fantastic opportunity to learn more about pathways into the screen industry. The trip started at Belfast Met where pupils used cutting-edge digital technology to create their own exciting digital news content. The peek behind-the-scenes experience at Belfast Met will encourage pupils to develop their confidence and build key digital skills and other essential skills for the future such as creativity, communication, and collaboration. Next up was a visit to Ulster University, York Street Campus where pupils listened to a keynote speech by Suzy Fagan Parr, from Aardman Animations. The afternoon concluded with exciting talks and panel discussions from screen industry professionals, discussing and sharing the current and emerging opportunities in Northern Ireland’s screen industry, helping inform pupils on that next step in their creative career.
