The crew of Cristiona McCaffrey, Laura Turner, Martha McBrien, Acorn Cassidy, Katie Donnelly, Niamh Campbell, Rachel Cullinan and cox Grace Ralph really put it up to the University crew which had former ERBC rower Aine McCreesh in the 5 seat, matching them stroke for stroke to the end.

The Club also received the Inaugural Jimmy Bermingham Memorial Trophy along with Neptune RC and St Michael’s RC for the best overall visiting Club at the Regatta. All 3 clubs had an equal number of wins.

The final of the MJ14 4X+ also saw our 2 crews race each other with the Crew of Jacob Woods, Cillian Donaghy, Ben Cameron, Conor Taylor and cox Summer Armstrong coming out the winners of the final after receiving a bye in the semi final. ERBC had 2 great wins out of 3 in straight finals for the WJ15 4X+ crews overcoming challenges from Neptune RC and Coleraine Grammar School.
Eoghan Campbell and Harley Shepard took the MJ15 2X title.
There were very happy rowers and lots of medals back on the buses with lots to look forward to as they move forward into very busy months of training and competitions in the lead up to Henley Royal Regatta and the Irish Championships in July.
Many thanks to everyone who travelled with the rowers over the weekend to help them on and off the water and to cheer them on. Thanks to Mr Holland who gave up his full weekend to take the boats to Dublin and ensure that the rowers did their very best over 2 long days of racing, it is very much appreciated.
Next up for the rowers of ERBC is Limerick Regatta on Saturday 23rd April.
