School Council Update

The December meeting of the School Council took place on Friday afternoon in the Lakeland Youth Centre.  27 representatives attended, numbers being slightly impacted by Carol Service rehearsals.  Matters arising from the previous meeting were dealt with where Mr Beddard and Mrs Kettyle commended the excellent work on the Anti-Litter Poster Campaign and on the collection of 85 shoe boxes that were filled for the Operation Christmas Child Appeal.  The Code of Conduct and Strapline for ERGS School Council were progressed further and discussion took place on other important issues such as rewards for the PHEAB Credit System and proposed charities that could be supported by the school during 2019-20.  Extensive feedback was provided by each representative on the issues that the pupils in ERGS would like to see the School Council address: these will be collated and tabled for discussion at the January meeting. Voting took place to elect the Council’s Office Bearers and Committee Members and the following pupils were elected:
