ERBC had a very successful trip to compete at Schools Head of the River in London on Monday afternoon. Both crews came 2nd in their respective Schools 1st Eights category with the girls coming 2nd out of 13 crews, the 7th fastest girls’ crew overall while the boys were 2nd in a field of 26 with the 11th fastest time out of a total 334 crews on the start list. This is a fantastic achievement for ERBC, congratulations to all the rowers who competed and to all the coaches involved in training them.
Many thanks to ERBC parent Sonja Cassidy and to Mr Holland, Head of Rowing who took the rowers and the boats over to London. The next event for the rowers is Lagan Scullers Head on Saturday 19th March when some of the younger members of ERBC will travel to Belfast to compete.
