On a dry & perfectly manicured pitch ERGS were put into bat after losing the toss. A fine knock by M Wilson who top scored with 9 runs, included a couple of boundaries dispatched through the offside & assisted by the quick outfield conditions. C Cairns also contributed 5 runs to the overall modest total of 29 all out off 11 overs.
ERGS had to bowl a tight line & length and ensure no chances were missed in the field to prevent a Foyle win. A great start ensued. First ball from G Gamble saw the Foyle opener clean bowled. Unfortunately ERGS were unable to capitalise and although L Whittaker picked up another wicket Foyle reached the required 30 run target for 2 wickets to lift the Plate. ERGS came away with well deserved losers medals. Roll on next season with a bit more practice!!
