The ERGS U16 Football Team travelled to Lisnaskea to play St Kevin’s with the goal of winning the Fermanagh and Western Schools League. ERGS got off to a slow start with few chances being created in the opening minutes. It was a tough battle between both sides, but going into the break it was 0-0. With a bit more go forward for ERGS, more chances were created, but unfortunately none executed. The ERGS defence held up well against a strong St Kevin’s attack, with in particular Bruce Lennox commanding the game at the back. The game ended 0-0, but ERGS walked away champions of the Fermanagh and Western Schools’ League, making history by being the first ever team to win it.
