Thanks to all students who joined in the spirit of World Book Day dressing up fun, bringing books to life in front of our eyes! We had a fine selection of book characters including the Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, crayons from The day the Crayons Quit , Ratburger, Wolverine and many more. Best Costume prize was awarded to Yasmina Labib 8A for her home made creation depicting The Iron Man from the Ted Hughes book. A particular mention is deserved by Lorna Davis’ wonderful canteen staff who pulled out all the stops to bring book-themed fun to the canteen for the day! We had characters such as Cruella Deville and Alice in Wonderland and they baked special book themed cakes as well. Well done, the students absolutely loved this inspiration!
Why do we do all this? Because reading is so important! Thanks to everyone who helped to celebrate World Book Day in style!
