Last weekend a group of year 10 Bronze Duke of Edinburgh pupils began their training before their expedition which takes places this coming weekend. This was a very strong and accomplished group, who had prepared well as a team for the challenges of camping and canoeing in the stunning surroundings of Lough Erne. Their journey took them across beautiful landscapes. A rare period of dry, settled and sunny weather meant that this was a particularly special experience for our year 10’s. We surprised our pupils to a tasty BBQ and drinks after one of their stops on Saturday before they went back on their travels. On Saturday evening pupils enjoyed some jetty jumping and games before settling down to cook their own supper. The instructors were impressed at the ease with which our pupils navigated their route, and looked after each other. Well done to this year’s Bronze group and good luck this weekend!
